New Product Development Engineer – Industrial Vacuum Systems

About the Opportunity:
We are presently seeking an experienced and innovative New Product Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mount Juliet, TN. Our end client operates in the manufacturing sector, specializing in the creation of high-quality industrial vacuum systems.

This role is critical for turning client requirements into tangible products, driving new product ideation, design, and implementation.

Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive documentation for new designs, including 3D models, detailed drawings, materials lists, and technical specifications to support product documentation and literature.

Interpret customer requirements for developing practical and effective product designs.
Engage actively in all stages of new product development projects.

Collaborate with the Manufacturing department to ensure seamless integration of product designs into the production process.

Analyze and redesign business processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide sales and technical service teams with astute technical assistance for newly developed products.

Employ various hand tools, power tools, and laboratory instruments to conduct and adjust product tests.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- A minimum of three years' experience in New Product Development within the manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in creating parts and assemblies, with demonstrated ability in 3D CAD & Solid Edge.
- Experience with programming languages, notably VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), with knowledge of Python, Java, or similar languages considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and previous usage of ERP software is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Teamcenter and Infor's Syteline software is highly desirable.
