Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including but not limited to carpentry, masonry, and plumbing.
Carry out site preparation by clearing debris and ensuring the work area is clean and safe.
Load and unload materials from lorries and transport them to designated areas on site.
Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in the assembly of structures, including scaffolding and frameworks.
Support in the installation of fixtures, fittings, and other components as required.
Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in construction is beneficial.

Pay: £11.50-£13.00 per hour
