Full-time Physical Therapists

at Jobisite in Saipan

The Physical Therapist (PT) will evaluate and treat patients referred for neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. As able, the PT may also provide wound care and work with some pediatric clients. The PT will maintain adequate documentation, attend appropriate meetings, and participate in
quality assurance programs.

Duties:
• Evaluate and treat patients referred by physicians as well as self-referred patients.
• Create a patient plan of care.
• Provide physical therapy treatments based on treatment plans or patient care plans.
• Use modalities in accordance with American Physical Therapy Association standards and
department regulations and procedures.
• Supervise and guide patients through functional activities and exercise programs.
• Comply with documentation and record-keeping regulations, within specified timeframes.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants and technicians.
• As directed by the Clinic Manager, participate in departmental quality assurance initiatives.
• Performed other related duties as assigned.
• Learn how to use Pilates equipment.
• Participate in the in-service training of EUCON Medical Health Services.

Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from U.S. accredited program, or equivalent in Physical Therapy from another country whose credentials are accepted in the U.S.A. No Experience required.

Licenses/Certifications:
The CNMI Health Care Professions Licensing Board (HCPLB) has registered and licensed the practice of physical therapy. Valid PT licensure in the United States is essential, or a Canadian PT licensure for CNMI endorsement.

Other Qualification Requirements:
Capable of solving problems independently and confidently using analytical and logical reasoning.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with persons from varied cultural and language backgrounds.
Physical Requirements: Excellent vision and communication skills. Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 20 pounds of rehabilitation materials and equipment, as well as reposition patients. Reasonable help may be asked when lifting, pushing, or pulling exceeds these
minimal standards.

Knowledge:
• Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Demonstrates ability to use therapeutic concepts, principles, and methods for client rehabilitation.
• Experience in physical therapy in several fields, including neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, and wound care is a plus.
• Experience in physical treatment techniques and modalities.
• Awareness of potential dangers in physical therapy treatments and required precautionary measures.
• Knowledge of the clinic regulations, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates understanding of customer and personal service ideas and practices. This includes assessing customer needs, meeting service quality requirements, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• English Language – Understanding of English language structure and content, including word meaning and spelling, composition rules, and grammar.
• Willing to learn Pilates equipment and techniques, education to be covered by the employer in Movement principles, and Reformer with other equipment certifications offered at a discounted rate.

Skill:
• Expertise in the use, care, and repair of physical therapy equipment.
Ability:
• Application Principles – Ability to apply the principles of physical therapy to work situations.
• Active Listening – The ability to pay full attention to what others are saying, take the time to understand the points being made, ask appropriate questions, and refrain from interrupting at inappropriate moments.
• Near Vision – Ability to notice details at close range
• Communication – Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, as well as listen and absorb information and ideas offered through spoken words and sentences.
• Interpersonal Relationship – Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with management and other professional staff in the workplace, as well as with clients and the community.
• Motivation – Ability to inspire and motivate patients to follow the therapy program
• Documentation – Ability to keep records and produce reports, as well as write clear and succinct reports on treatments and programs implemented.
• Static strength- refers to the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items with maximum muscle force.
• Trunk Strength – Ability to employ abdominal and lower back muscles to support a body component repeatedly without fatigue.
• Extent Flexibility – Ability to bend stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms and /or legs.
• Manual Dexterity – The ability to grab, manipulate, or assemble objects with one hand, one hand with an arm, or two hands.

Conditional Requirements:
Employment is based on successful completion of pre-employment health screening (Covid-19 vaccine necessary) and drug screening in accordance with EMHS policies.
Others:
This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. EUCON Medical Health Services' regular operating hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EMHS follows all appropriate deductions, including CNMI tax, federal tax, Medicare, and Social Security.
