Do you want to teach English in China in 2025?

If you want to help children in Hangzhou or Suzhou, China learn English email me. I will try to answer all responses to this job ad. (Zhejiang Wenhe Education really does need English teachers to help children in China.)

The basic job requirements are:

Be between 18 years old and 60 years old, 60 for men, 55 for women. (I need to mention the kindergartens do seem to prefer young-looking adult teachers.)

Be from one of the following countries: US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, or South Africa.

Be in good health (get a heath check in your home country and again in China).

Hold a bachelor’s degree in any field (bring your bachelor's degree to China).

Provide a police clearance certificate (proof of no criminal record).

Have a legitimate job offer from a school in China (Zhejiang Wenhe Education in Hangzhou can provide this from a public school or kindergarten in Hangzhou or Suzhou.)

Have a 120-hour TEFL or TESOL certification (Or at least two years of teaching experience with documented evidence of working as an ESL teacher.)

The hardest part is you need to get your degree, your TEFL or TESOL certification and police clearance (police record) notarized by a local notary public, then by the state notary public and last you need to take these papers to the Chinese embassy or consulate for notarization. (You can get all the paperwork ready in about one month.) The kind of visa you need to work in China is called a "Z-visa".
Zhejiang Wenhe Education in Hangzhou can help you to get a Z-visa to work in China as an English teacher.

Of course people with degrees in education and teachers who have teaching experience can get higher teacher pay.

(But, if you don't have a lot of experience teaching that is okay, too) There are many kindergarten jobs. You can do some practice classes at Zhejiang Wenhe Education in Hangzhou.)

The pay range is generally: 9,000 RMB to 18,000 RMB before tax (Yes, you can live okay on 9,000 RMB per month in Hangzhou or Suzhou. Things do not cost that much.)

Place: Kindergarten – excellent location

Position: Homeroom Teacher

Environment: Energetic & fun (no more than 30 children per class)

Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)

Location: Suzhou，Jiangsu Province, China

Age Group: 1 year old to 5 years old

Native English Speaker: Yes

Job Experience: 2 years experience (preferred) and a 120-hour TEFL or TESOL certificate is required. We will consider candidates with little or no experience; having high energy level is critical — 40 minutes of teaching in the morning & afternoon and the rest of the time playing with the children.

Job Benefits: Professional training, insurance, 2000 RMB for housing allowance per month, 5000 RMB for flight allowance per year, paid national holidays.

Contract: One or two years

Start: March 1st, 2025 to January 31st, 2026 (The residency permit is valid for at least 11 months.)
