Responsibilities
Manage quality assurance/quality control for the assay lab and mill operations
Monitor milling processes to boost production
Collaborate with Mine and Shaft departments to optimize operations
Oversee mill maintenance planning and execution
Provide technical assistance to mill operators and technicians
Conduct tests on new ore bodies and chemicals for optimal recoveries
Maintain chemical inventory and ordering
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Communicate daily/weekly production schedules with the Shipping Department
Assist in budget planning for production operations and capital
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant field
Bachelors degree in metallurgical or chemical engineering preferred
General understanding of mining operations and milling processes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid drivers license is required
