Skills
Proficiency in DCS/PLC control system design and programming (i.e., DeltaV, Experion, 800xA)
Experience with instrumentation and controls/PLC system design (i.e., Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens)
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Ability to perform system design calculations and analysis
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office environments
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement DCS/PLC control systems to meet process requirements
Develop documentation including Theory/Description of operation and detailed control system design
Conduct system design calculations and analyses
Interface with facility design to optimize panel location and maintenance
Assist with start-up and debugging of integrated systems
Act as a technical lead on projects, guiding lower-level engineers and technicians
Manage smaller projects, ensuring deadlines and project scope are met
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (related experience may substitute for degree)
5+ years of experience in Ethernet-based control systems, safety systems, and DCS programming preferred
Experience with instrumentation and controls/PLC system design required
Previous experience with AutoCAD desired
Knowledge of contract documents, specifications, and system design functions
