Responsibilities

Examine equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to identify improvement opportunities
Implement changes and modify operational standards
Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases
Select and implement suitable manufacturing processes
Identify and optimize current manufacturing processes using continuous improvement strategies
Collaborate with production and maintenance to ensure equipment is well-maintained
Conduct capability studies and time studies
Develop processes, including Visual Work Instructions
Provide production support and process troubleshooting
Reduce costs related to scrap, rework, and cycle time
Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures
Coordinate projects and address daily troubleshooting challenges
Participate in Kaizen events

Qualifications

BS in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or combined related experience required
2-4 years of engineering project experience in metal manufacturing
Must be capable of leading projects in a fast-paced continuous improvement culture
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Must manage multiple tasks and aggressive deadlines

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering required
