Team Leader - Residential Carehome

Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and support a small team of carers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care for residents.
Medication Management: Oversee the medication cycle, including ordering, receiving, carrying forward, and auditing medications to ensure compliance with regulations.
Care Planning: Write and update care plans, ensuring they reflect residents needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records with a strong emphasis on written communication.
Risk Assessments: Conduct and review risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks to residents and staff.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with team members, residents, and families, fostering a friendly and proactive environment.
Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development, including full annual care training (e.g., SOVA, Health & Safety, Infection Control), and support team members in their professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
Prior experience as a Team Leader in a residential care home setting.
Proven skills in managing and leading a small team of carers.
Strong understanding of the medication cycle, including ordering, receiving, carrying forward, and auditing.
Proficiency in care planning, risk assessments, and written documentation.
Excellent spoken and written English skills.
Friendly and proactive attitude towards residents and staff.
