Job Title: Data scientist

Location: Elkgrove, CA (Onsite)

Duration- Contract 

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Statistician to join our team. The ideal
candidate possesses a strong background in formal statistical analysis, causal
modeling, and explanatory machine learning. You will be instrumental in
deriving robust insights from data, moving beyond basic data exploration to
apply advanced analytical techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

1.       Statistical Analysis & Causal Modeling

o   Perform formal statistical analyses to uncover meaningful patterns and
relationships.

o   Apply causal modeling techniques to identify cause-and-effect
relationships within data.

o   Design and analyze experiments to test hypotheses and validate findings.

2.       Data Manipulation & Modeling

o   Use SQL to manipulate large datasets and build reliable data models.

o   Ensure data integrity and optimize data retrieval processes.

3.       Programming & Visualization

o   Utilize Python or R for advanced statistical modeling and data
visualization.

o   Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate findings
effectively.

4.       Interactive Dashboards

o   Develop interactive visualizations and dashboards using Tableau.

o   Present data insights in an accessible and user-friendly format for
stakeholders.

5.       Communication

o   Translate complex statistical concepts into clear, actionable insights.

o   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform decision-making
processes.

Qualifications:

·       Education:

o   Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science,
or a related field.

·       Experience:

o   5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Tableau used on a
weekly basis.

o   Proven experience in probabilistic and statistical modeling, experimental
design, and causal inference.

o   Demonstrated ability to move beyond data exploration to derive robust,
actionable insights.

·       Technical Skills:

o   Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and modeling.

o   Advanced skills in Python or R for statistical analysis and visualization.

o   Expertise in creating interactive dashboards with Tableau.

·       Soft Skills:

o   Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex
analyses to non-technical audiences.

o   Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

o   Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team
environment.
