We provide enabling services and technical solutions to business problems. The role is to develop and maintain architecture, infrastructure, IS, and IT services and solutions to meet operational needs.

Role Purpose
To lead the Quality Assurance (QA) and testing functions within the Technology department, ensuring both manual and automated testing practices are effectively integrated across a predominantly Microsoft tech stack, including Dynamics 365 and modern web applications. This role involves setting governance and standards across multiple technology stacks to ensure the highest quality of software products and systems.

Key Deliverables
- Governance and Standards: Develop and enforce QA governance frameworks and standards to ensure consistency and quality across various technology stacks, including Dynamics 365 and web applications.
- Testing Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies encompassing both manual and automated testing methods.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, developers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure QA strategies align with business goals.
- Integration: Oversee the integration of QA processes with the overall software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless and efficient testing practices.
- Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and manage risks associated with QA activities, ensuring that all software products meet security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of software quality management.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of QA processes, test plans, test cases, and testing results.
Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and partners to leverage their expertise and capabilities effectively.

Regulatory Responsibilities
- Adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Chair or attend all relevant committees aligned with the role's remit.
- Be aware of all responsibilities relating to compliance and quality control.

Skills and Knowledge
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in quality assurance and testing, with a strong background in both manual and automated testing.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and modern web applications.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in automated and manual testing tools and frameworks such as Playwright (preferred), Selenium, EasyRepo, Jam, Task Recorder, PowerApps Test Framework.
- Strong understanding of multiple technology stacks and their testing requirements.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams both onshore and offshore.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Risk Management: Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with QA initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in QA and software testing are desirable.

Accountability
Unit Size: Management of a substantial budget.
Contributing Group Performance
Direct Report Units: Approximately 8 Direct Reports.
Indirect Report Units: Management of approximately 30 employees.
