Moodle LMS Developer

We aim to reduce the stigma around mental health issues by providing access to quality mental health resources, training, and education. Our flagship project, Awareness in Mind, is an online platform that provides mental health courses and resources to the public.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software developer/designer who can help us with technical aspects of our Awareness in Mind project. The ideal candidate should have experience in integrating text, media (audio, video and picture) content to Moodle, Edx, or other similar platforms, as well as a strong understanding of LMS (Learning Management Systems).

Responsibilities

· Design and develop software solutions that meet the needs of the Awareness in Mind project.
· Work collaboratively with the project team to identify and implement technical requirements.
· Develop and implement custom Moodle, edx, or other LMS plugins or modules for video content management and delivery.
· Integrate video content to LMS platforms such as Moodle and edx.
· Manage the LMS platform, including user management, course creation, and reporting.
· Develop and implement custom functionalities to enhance the user experience of the platform.
· Troubleshoot and provide technical support as needed.
· Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in LMS and e-learning platforms.
· Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
· Ensure the security and integrity of the platform.
· Monitor the progress and performance of learners, provide insights, and work with the project team to optimize course content and delivery.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
· At least 5 years of professional experience in software development and design.
· Strong experience in LMS platforms such as Moodle and edx.
· Experience with video encoding and streaming technologies, such as HLS or DASH.
· Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
· Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
