Job Overview:
We are in search of a dynamic and motivated Product Development Specialist to join our Research and Development team.

This role is key for individuals who excel in project management outside traditional laboratory settings, with a strong background in the Food or Personal Care industries.

The core responsibility involves steering product development initiatives from concept through to launch, collaborating with internal teams, departments, and external partners.

This position offers a prime opportunity for career advancement in the Natural Products Industry and involvement in pioneering product launches in the U.S. market, aligning with Demeter Certified Biodynamic® standards that prioritize innovative, regenerative agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple product development initiatives, overseeing project progression from concept to launch using our project management software.
- Conduct thorough research on new and existing product concepts, ensuring alignment with international and U.S. market trends.
- Undertake competitive market analysis to inform strategic pricing decisions.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Guide the product development process through to formulation, prototyping, and trial phases, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Participate in internal product development procedures, including compliance checks, labeling, and packaging review.
- Lead innovation sessions and present new product concepts to internal stakeholders.
- Evaluate product samples and prototypes, identifying potential enhancements or issues.
- Travel occasionally as required for business needs.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in the food sector, or related industries focusing on natural products, food ingredients, or personal care, particularly in roles involving product research and development, merchandising, and brand marketing. A relevant BachelorÂ’s degree, such as in Food Science, is also acceptable.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Proven ability to maintain professional business relationships.
- Strong mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Team player with a high degree of adaptability and openness to project adjustments.
- Self-motivated with a dedication to ongoing professional development.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Language and Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in reading, comprehending, and drafting documents, as well as presenting information effectively to both individual stakeholders and groups.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Excel and overall computer literacy.

Job Insights:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in desired industries or a comparable educational background in a field such as Food Science is critical for this role.
