Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time Dentist
Pay rate for this role is $162,225 annually
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week

The Dentist is responsible for providing patients with comprehensive oral health services to ensure optimum oral health. This position is responsible for diagnosing and providing appropriate treatment for problems related to patient’s teeth, gums, and oral cavity within their scope of practice. Advice and instruction are given for the proper care that is needed for overall health. In addition to direct patient care, supervision and teaching is given to dental residents as deemed under both the Hawaii laws governing dentistry and guidelines provided by the residency program.

Qualifications
● Current license in good standing for the practice of dentistry from the State of Hawaii Board of Dental Examiners.
● Current federal and state DEA license to dispense and prescribe medication.
● Completes continuing education requirements as needed to maintain a dental license from the State of Hawaii Board of Dental Examiners.
● Demonstrates knowledge and success in effecting overall clinical operations.
● Requires understanding of the practices and techniques of a dental office setting
● Familiarity with common software programs (i.e. Windows-based programs) and an ability to quickly learn new systems
● Ability to communicate effectively with patients, community members, and staff members.
● Proficient in computer skills: typing, navigating through the internet and emails.
● OSHA training.
● CPR certified

General Duties include but are not limited to
● Reviews patient health history and vital signs at the start of each patient visit.
● Examines and diagnoses patients to determine the nature of conditions.
● Provides necessary routine and emergency services, including general restorative procedures, periodontal care, crown and bridge construction, removable prosthetics, endodontics, and oral surgery.
● Educates and councils patients and families on proper oral hygiene home care as well as answers any questions pertaining to oral health.
● Refers patients for specialty care if needed and provides appropriate follow up if needed.
● Other duties as assigned
