Maintenance Fitter - Costa Guyra (Tomato Exchange)

Type of Employment: Full time
Duties include:
Undertaking planned and ad-hoc maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is working as required and is compliant with safety regulations.
Diagnosing faults with equipment and troubleshoot in order to minimise equipment downtime and ensuring that critical services remain operational.
Carry out preventative maintenance measures and regular maintenance and cleaning programs, in addition to providing operational support and training to other staff.
Perform regular maintenance on the irrigation and fertiliser systems thereby guaranteeing full water/irrigation and fertilizer is available at all times to the glasshouse.
Conduct modifications and fit/assemble fabricated metal parts to produce machines and equipment
Conduct checks on parts for accuracy, clearance and fit
Cuts, threads, bends and installs pipes and lines
Identify, repair or replace worn/faulty mechanical components and equipment
Perform machining operations
Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their components.
Perform welding operations.
Interpret drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
Conducts reactive and preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for the role:
Relevant AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or relevant AQF Certificate IV, or at least 3 years relevant experience.
Relevant qualifications/licenses including Forklift, EWP and Scissor Lift
Working at heights and confined spaces training highly beneficial.
Sound knowledge of maintenance and industry related experience.
Experience in welding, fitting & turning, sheet metal fabrications, OHS and farming, production and packing machinery highly beneficial.
Sound knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices
Proven ability to commit to working positively, constructively and effectively in a team environment.
The ability to relate well to others, including the ability to work in a respectful and collaborative manner.
Salary:
$65,000 - $85,000 p.a. plus super
