Position Summary
The Development Coordinator is a key member of our fundraising team, with a balanced focus on grant writing and general fundraising responsibilities, particularly database coordination. The Development Coordinator reports to the Development Manager in a flexible hybrid working environment. Personal integrity, sound judgment, a donor service orientation, a commitment to professional ethics, and a love of team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications
Required
Demonstrated sincere interest and current knowledge of Indigenous rights and issues, including the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
Proven experience in grant writing, database coordination, and fundraising.
Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, social science).
Affiliation with a professional fundraising association.
Networked within environmental, social justice, and/or Indigenous rights movements.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) based in Victoria, BC. Flexible working arrangements may be considered. In addition to salary, RAVEN offers generous benefits, including 2 weeks paid vacation to start, 18 days of sick time, 14 statutory holidays, paid time off during weeklong winter closure, medical and dental insurance, RRSP matching contributions, annual professional development stipend, and a supportive working environment.

Salary Range: $67,300 - $72,800
