Inspiring Deputy Manager Wanted for Leading Nursery
Our esteemed client, in partnership with Futurecares, is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and forward-thinking Deputy Manager with a passion for inspiring children.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate (subject to an Enhanced DBS check and references) will become an integral part of the management team, capable of taking the lead in the Nursery Manager's absence. You will be responsible for guiding and supporting the nursery staff, ensuring that the highest standards of care and education are consistently delivered. Your role will be hands-on, working directly with children and contributing to their developmental milestones.
As a "hands-on" Deputy Manager, you will be actively involved in the day-to-day activities of the nursery. You will be engaging with children through interactive play, educational activities, and personalized attention. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the daily routines and educational programs, ensuring that they meet the developmental needs and interests of each child.
The nursery operates in a dynamic environment, catering to children of varying ages in distinct rooms tailored to their developmental stages. The facility provides a nurturing space for children designed to offer age-appropriate activities and care. It is a vibrant and stimulating environment where you will apply your expertise to foster a love for learning and exploration in young children.
In your leadership role, you will work closely with the nursery staff to maintain a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. You will provide guidance, training, and mentorship to your team, helping them to develop their skills and enhance their professional growth. Qualifications:
- Management experience preferred
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent childcare qualification
- Safeguarding certification
- First Aid certification
- Basic Health and Safety knowledge
- Enhanced DBS check
Experience:
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience working with children aged 6 months to 5 years and a thorough understanding of the EYFS. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Ofsted requirements, an understanding of childcare funding, and familiarity with the role of SENCO.
Work Location/ Setting/Schedule: North London, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Exhibit strong people skills and work effectively as part of a team.
- Policy Management: Promote and update nursery policies as needed.
- General Management: Oversee general management duties within the nursery, ensuring smooth operations.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety of the premises at all times.
- Parental Partnership: Foster strong partnerships with parents to support children's development.
- Compliance: Ensure all requirements for Ofsted and other legislative bodies are met.
