Diamond Turning/CNC Operators

The end client is looking for staff for their Keene NH Location and have asked us to source for this. Local candidates that can work in Keene NH only.

POSITION PURPOSE:

DT Operator/Programmer

This position is responsible for the set-up, programming/editing and operation of Diamond Turning machines. Knowledge of aspheric measurement, and testing methods using Zygo ZeGage, Saavy Scratch Dig Inspector, and Zygo Verifire IR Interferometer. A lead contributor, on a department team, in the fabrication of IR diamond turned optics at the component level. Supervise Diamond Turning department and staff. Develop efficient processes within the department and improve existing production processes. In general, work is to be performed in support of ‘Spectral Systems’ Quality Statement’. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete all areas outlined for this position in a satisfactory manner.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Commits to providing our customers with outstanding value, service and product quality.
Knowledge of IR materials
Experience in the set-up, programming/editing and operation of DT machines
Perform machine maintenance and repairs as required
Knowledge of spherical/aspheric metrology testing methods and equipment
Follow ISO procedures and methods
Directs and provides Training to the Operator/Technician
Understands CNC programming and can create/and or modify CNC programs.
Operate and understand optical test equipment such as interferometers and surface profilometers
Document processes and work instructions for diamond turning operation
Operate traditional inspection equipment such as micrometers, height gages and calipers
Ability to read and understand both optical and traditional mechanical drawings

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):

1. Do you have a B.S degree in Engineering and/or 5 years related experience

2. Do you have 4 year degree/5+ yearsÂ’ work experience or 2 year degree 5+years as a Diamond Turning Programmer

3. Do you have advanced print reading skills-ability to read and comprehend all fabrication specs

4. Do you have NC Programming Skills- Knowledge of G Codes and M Codes and MasterCam

5. Do you have Metrology Skills-Profilometer Experience, Zygo testing, set up and operation U

6. Do you have Undergraduate degree in engineering, chemistry or physics from a certified college or university. - preffered

7. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
