Websphere Portal Application Designer:
Hands-on specification and development assistance for a Java/J2EE WebSphere Portal site employing the Dojo RIA toolkit
Lead implementation of Portal integration between IBM Websphere Portal and IBM/Lombardi
Significant experience working with XML and Web Services.
Interacting on a daily basis with other development staff, project managers, testing staff, and business liaison's within the company.
Scheduling and leading technical meetings.
Shepherding components of the Portal from Development into Customer Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing and then into production
Ensuring adherence of the developed code with the solutions architecture for this project.
Enforce development guidelines and practices
Work with testing team to draft a testing strategy for the Portal
Supports application throughout the Product Development life cycle
Skills required:
Java, J2EE, RIA (Dojo and Ajax) and Server side development, IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM Websphere, Struts, Unix Shell Scripting, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML technologies, application of J2EE security, Concurrency, Transactions, Session Management, J2EE Patterns, and Frameworks to application solutions, Rational toolset, unit testing, change management and release procedures, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor a team
Skills preferred:
Hibernate, JPA, SOAP, REST, UNIX / LINUX, experience developing custom software
Education:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science
