Position Title: Systems Administrator – Windows

Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Term: 6-18 mo, long-term project



• Serve as the System Administrator, assisting with user provisioning, assigned software deliverable creation, administration and modification for assigned software.

• Assist CoreLink Project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases of the project management SDLC by helping define needs, benefits and technical strategy; research & development; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions

• Evaluate and modify system’s performance.

• Review system issues, find solutions by problem solving and implement the solutions.

• Responsible for the taxonomy of assigned software for the organization.

• Manage in accordance with corporate and IT department policies and goals; monitor policies within scope of responsibility to ensure compliance. Conduct regular content review of assigned software to ensure compliance with all corporate policies.

• Perform requirements analysis and design of assigned software deliverables.

• Provide support for both IT and business users for assigned software.

• Assist in training organization with end user training as required.

• External interface(s) experience preferred.



Support following systems & functions:

• Microsoft Windows: Windows 2008, 2008R2, 2012, Active Directory, NTFS, COMTI, SCOM

• Security administration, performance monitoring, availability and uptime monitoring experience preferred.

• Team Foundation Server (TFS) branch and release process, administration and modifying TFS site collections with multiple sites, unique navigational elements, workflows, web part pages and application pages.

• Conduct regular content review of TFS portal to ensure compliance with all corporate policies.

• Perform requirements analysis and design of TFS team sites.

• Networking

• General understanding of networking concepts (NATs, VLANs, DNS, firewalls, etc.)

• Be able to identify and communicate networking requirements between multiple 3rd party data centers.

• Understanding of security methods and administer them as needed (certificates, keystores, etc.)

• Assist in determining licensing/auditing requirements for managed applications
