As Director of Nursing at this Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility in beautiful North Idaho, you’ll have responsibility for managing and directing all nursing services in a professional manner using resources effectively and efficiently to attain and maintain the highest level of care to residents in accordance with regulatory standards. You’ll directly manages subordinate supervisors (Documentation Nurses) who supervise an average of 70 employees in the Nursing Department.

The OPPORTUNITY: You’ll head the nursing services at a well-established, financially stable, Non-Profit 74-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with attached rehab services. We’re specifically looking for a professional who enjoys being part of an experienced team where the emphasis is not on profit but on caring for the residents! The facility itself includes a campus with several beautiful buildings, highlighted by a stunning two story plant-filled atrium.

Highly competitive compensation package including sign on bonus, relocation allowance and generous benefits.


A relevant nursing degree (MSN, BSN, ADN or LPN Certification) from an accredited nursing program.

Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Idaho or compact state or the ability to acquire an Registered Nurse license in the state.

Minimum of 4 years working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems and pharmacies.

At least 2 years in a supervisory/management position, including experience with budgets, staff development, training and scheduling. Additional course work in management is an asset.

Preferred : Working knowledge of MDS, state and federal surveys and CMS.

Must have the ability to creatively problem-solve in both resident care and employee management situations.

Must be a team player, well organized, and flexible.
