Description:
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment to provide Project Management Services. The selected candidate must be a results-oriented candidate with a strong work ethic and ability to develop, or contribute to, a wide range of documents related to technology solution effort including requirements, design documentation, end-user manuals, and meeting minutes.
The position will be responsible for working with project team and key stakeholders to help successfully contribute to the development and implementation of a Medicaid EHR Incentive Payment System solution and will assume a key communication role working closely with the project team to deliver the solution. The candidate will report to the Program Consultant for the Medical Information Processing System (MIPS).
In addition to the above, the candidate will leverage their experience in preparing and maintaining documentation pertaining to project requirements, solution design, systems operation, and user manuals to ensure a successful solution delivery.
Responsibilities will include:
Planning, writing, and maintaining documentation for online and offline use
Communicating user instructions in a clear precise manner
Communicating effectively with other team members, project management, and key stakeholders.
Required skills:
Minimum 3 years experience in a technical or business writing role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Effective communication skills both written and oral
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to capture key concepts through discussions with subject matter experts
Experience producing documentation in a software development environment
Ability to design documentation, estimate level of effort, and write documents
Preferred skills:
Bachelors degree is preferred
Familiar with web based application software
