Part-time Java Application Developer

The Java Application Developer will perform full application lifecycle support including requirement analysis, design, development, implementation, version and change control, and maintenance. The Ideal candidate will also have an interest in performing minor project management tasks on behalf of 4-5 people development team (project plans/schedules, work estimates, customer/prime relationships). Strong communication skills are required.



We expect the ideal candidate to become the “site lead” providing technical and project leadership and representing the Acentia team in client and prime contractor relationships. We estimate software development tasks to take 85% and leadership/PM tasks 15% of the time.



Minimum Experience:



7+ years of Software Development experience

Experience developing web applications using Java, REST, JavaScript, AJAX, ExtJS

Significant experience with ExtJS is highly desired

Deep understanding of front-end web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience with server-side technologies JAX-RS, JPA/Hibernate/JDO, Spring

Solid knowledge of data modeling and SQL. Experience with data modeling tools is a plus

Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and all related disciplines from requirements to test deployment and support

Experience with version control, configuration management, automated build, unit testing, Tomcat/JBoss configuration and deployment
