Description:
The role of the Project Manager is to plan and execute the integration of the professional services business of Model Metrics, a recent acquisition. According to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members, stakeholders (including Finance and IT), and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the projects objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Specifically, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
Facilitating stakeholders to define all impacts on existing systems and processes required to integrate acquired business units into existing process and systems. Focus areas are Technical Support and Consulting, but could include Customer Management, Training, Adoption, Renewal, and Operations and Strategy as well.
Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Developing and managing detailed project plans, to include Communication and Change Management functions
Providing timely status reporting to of milestones, dependencies, risks and issues to project team and executive sponsors
Defining and executing mitigation plans to minimize risks
Managing cross-functional team resources and their deliverables, setting expectations for project allocation with managers, and ensuring the team has the appropriates skill set to deliver
Delivering results in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
Partnering with IT Scrum teams and CFL Ops to implement required system changes.
Required Skills/Experience:
This Project Manager is a results-oriented professional who possesses excellent communication skills, exercises and encourages sound decision-making, and ensures that the teams he/she works with successfully deliver on their commitments. The ideal candidate has Technical Support and/or Consulting experience, technical expertise, and previous experience with acquisition integration projects with a focus on Professional Services and Support.
Specific qualifications and experience to include (but not limited to):
10+ years of project management or program management experience, defining roles and processes
Domain expertise in Technical Support organizations and processes, preferably with an understanding of Salesforces Customers For Life (CFL) organization
Experience leading complex projects across Business Units
Salesforce product knowledge with advanced configuration/admin skills or similar technical expertise preferred
Financial Force PSA experience preferred
Knowledge of Agile methodology; expertise in sprint and release planning, retrospectives and sprint reviews preferred
Must be a self-starter and a proactive team-player, working quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints, and with minimal supervision.
Excellent understanding of Business functions such as Consulting, Support, Sales & Systems Engineering, Training, as well as intra and inter-departmental functions and interdependencies affecting M&A activities (sales and services alignment, engagement models, communications, etc.)
Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project plans, exceptional attention to detail, and a desire to roll-up your sleeves to see an integration project to successful completion
Capacity to rapidly identify issues pertaining to projects, communicate those issues immediately and work them to resolution
Demonstrated leadership in delivering results with large-scale, cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to strike a good balance between big picture planning and detailed level execution tracking
Must thrive in a fast paced environment where multitasking and prioritizing is necessary
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) as well as proven relationship-management skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels, including senior executive levels.
Ability to influence and drive alignment to global processes and systems.
Ability to quickly grasp and understand the technical implications of any roadblocks that would prevent the business integration from being successful.
Demonstrated success in dealing with ambiguity.
Passion for learning to continuously evolve skill sets and abilities to meet business needs
